The Association of Business Administration organized a Special Lecture Programme (Men) for the academic year 2021-2022 was held on 23th March 2022 in the AL MANHAL at our college. The Programme function was started with Qirath by Mr. Abu Sufiyan of III BBA ‘A’, to invoke the blessings of the Almighty.

Dr. M. Balasubramanian, Assistant Professor, of the department welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest Mr. SEENI MOHAMED, Principal & CEO, Galaxy International Institute of Logistics, Chennai

Dr. J. KHADER SHARIEF Coordinator felicitated the gathering.

The chief guest Mr. SEENI MOHAMED, Principal & CEO, Galaxy International Institute of Logistics, Chennai, highlighted the importance of Logistics industry to the current scenario. The lecture enabled the students to acquire knowledge in programming languages, automation tools and understand the requirements for getting jobs in core sectors. He describes the Logistics department is also responsible for the storage and distribution of goods, analyzing data using information systems, organizing cartons, stocking shelves in warehouses, providing support to the sales department as and when required, and so on.

He explained about today the scope of logistics includes the functions of purchasing, transport, storage, sales, and distribution of goods, just to name a few. Moreover he pointed out Logistics is an integrated network of supply chains that connect producers and end customers through different modes of transport. Further, he describes about the position of Logistics department function such as Planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services and Directing, optimizing and coordinating full order cycle, Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers. Students were actively participated the programme and asked various questions about Job roles, and Positions of Logistics industry.

Finally, Dr. S. SALEEM, Vice President of BBA Association proposed the vote of thanks.
