Jmc Alumni Association

The JMC Alumni Association came into existence in the year 1963. It played its vital role in 1966 by mobilizing funds towards the construction of the first modern building in the campus-Humanities Block.

Seeds were sown for the formation of overseas chapters of alumni association by a goodwill delegation of the college that toured Riyadh, Jeddah, Bahrain in December 1991 and U.A.E. in January 1992. Subsequent trips were undertaken to the Middle-East and the South-East Asian countries for the formation of alumni chapters.

The Inspection Commission of the Bharathidasan University that visited the college in connection with conferring Autonomy to the college observed:

"The fact that a large number of alumni of this college now work in various countries spread around the world itself is an ample proof for the quality of education imparted in this institution."

"The alumni of the college who are occupying eminent positions in India and abroad have close links with the college and are contributing to the growth and development of the college in a substantial way." - True, the overseas alumni find a pride of place in the history of the college.
