General instructions

Applicants must carefully read the prospectus and ensure they meet the eligibility criteria for the chosen programme (UG/PG/MBA/MCA) before applying. All applications must be submitted only through online mode via the college website. UG applicants should update their +2 marks after results are published, while PG applicants must enter marks up to Semester V/VI. Candidates must choose the correct category (Men – Aided/Self Finance, Women – Self Finance only) and select programmes strictly based on eligibility. Ensure all personal, address, and academic details are filled accurately.

Applicants must provide a valid and active mobile number and email ID, as all admission-related communication will be sent only through these channels. Use of third-party contact details (friends, relatives, browsing centres) is strictly prohibited. Applicants must upload required documents (passport-size photograph and community certificate) and pay the application fee online (UG – ₹100, PG – ₹200, MCA – ₹500; non-refundable). After payment, a UIN and Application Number will be generated, and the same UIN can be used for multiple applications.

Applicants shall report any transaction-related issues to erppay@jmc.edu with the Reference ID, registered mobile number, and a screenshot showing the Reference Number; if payment is debited but UIN/Application Number is not generated, the payment receipt must be verified and forwarded from the registered email. Under no circumstances shall a second payment be initiated once debited; duplicate or multiple payments are non-refundable, and the institution shall bear no liability for such transactions.

Candidates must ensure all details are entered correctly, as incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected, and submission does not guarantee admission. For MBA/MCA programmes, TANCET marks are mandatory, and MBA applicants must attend a Group Discussion and Interview.

Selection is based on merit and seat availability, and selected candidates will be notified via SMS and Email only (no regret messages will be sent). Shortlisted candidates must appear in person with a parent/guardian on the specified date. Admission will be confirmed only after same-day fee payment and submission of original certificates, failing which it will be cancelled. Candidates who have passed CBSE or HSC conducted by Boards other than the Tamil Nadu Board of Higher Secondary Examination, and graduates from other Universities, shall be required to produce an Eligibility Certificate from Bharathidasan University. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances (both College and Hostel).

Admission is subject to certificate verification and Government norms, and any false information will result in cancellation, fee forfeiture, and legal action. The institution strictly prohibits donation or capitation fees.

Hostel accommodation is limited and allotted on a first-come, first-served basis, and admission does not guarantee a hostel seat. Transport facilities are limited and mainly available for women students.

Eligible students under BC/MBC/SC/ST/SCA/Minority categories may apply for scholarships in Government Aided Programmes.

Submission of the application implies acceptance of all instructions, conditions, and eligibility requirements specified in the Prospectus and the prescribed Eligibility Criteria. The General Instructions provided herein are only a summary; applicants must refer to the Prospectus and Eligibility Criteria for complete and authoritative details.
